Joy-Bay
Okay, I know this is me being stupid. But could some kind soul tell me where to begin to learn to edit my tables so I could start to use some of these cool contributions here? Please keep in mind that I can not telnet, I can only FTP:( Am I just SOL or is there way? I see lots of instructions that the table needs to be changed or added, but I have found nothing telling me how to do this:( Also,... I am been reading each and every contrib. and I can not find the discount q-pon one:( This is different then the GV contrib. Guest
Do you have a control panel for your web host account? If you have a control panel see if your web host provides phpmyadmin for accessing MySQL Data bases. If not: ask your web host provider if you can upload the phpmyadmin to your web site. http://www.phpmyadmin.net/ An excellent program for working in MySQL Data bases. agadak
Unfortunately, FTP won't do. You need Telnet or SSH, you need to get to the command line and be able to enter commands into it. Here's a GREAT page I used until I bought a book for mySQL since I was messing around with it so much. I love phpMyAdmin, but I also love my CLI: http://www.analysisandsolutions.com/code/m...ic.htm#creating (Ignore the Windows part, yeech! LOL!) Good Luck!
