mouflon Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Quantity box in product_list? Have a look at this thread - I guess maybe it's time I got off my ass and cleaned this up and make it a contribution. http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...der=asc&start=0 Anyway, if you have trouble with it, I can help. mouflon Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Take a look at my post here: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...=24530&start=10 I have distilled the code and made it readable. Quote Unexpect the Expected
dynamok Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Works great for me. The only thing I though was would it not be better if this quantity would be inside the product_info? The only reason for that is, sometimes people will not realize that they can click on the product to see the picture since it asks them to choose the quantity right away. Quote
vikkic Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 I agree. Is there any way to get the quantity inside product_info? My customers like to see the pictures, but they hate having to wait till check out to edit their quantities. Vikki Quote
mouflon Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 There should be a way, I just haven't looked into it. I'll dig around tonight and see what I come up with. Quote Unexpect the Expected
mouflon Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 Hmmmm... it seems that this has already been dealt with: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31093 Quote Unexpect the Expected
vikkic Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 And I did it and it works just perfectly! Thank you!!! Vikki Quote
gman Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 One more thing, Vikki, When one enters your catalog, there is a closing php tag that is showing up at top of the page. ================ Guillermo ================ Quote Guillermo Huapaya Jr www.decorativemerchandise.com [email protected]
vikkic Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 Thanks - i just fixed it. I installed the Content management module (what a great addition that was!) and didn't realize that it had a >? in the application_top.php addition, that I of course just copied and pasted. I'm glad that was easy to fix. :) Vikki Quote
gman Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 Hi, Vikki, I guess i attempted to post this message before and clicked on the wrong button. doing things too fast, i guess. Anyway, tried to use the quantity feature in your store. At first, I missed seeing the quantity box (might be time for me to go get new eyeglasses) at top. Clicked to place item in cart with default quantity of "1". Then added to the default quantity, and the shopping cart info was updated correctly, BUT, when i changed the quantity to a lesser amount than before, (i.e, ordered 4, changed it to 2), the shopping cart data did NOT get updated, and since there is no "update" button, a customer has to know to go into the shopping cart and make the changes or deletions, if they want less than what they originally entered. Thought you might want to know this.....that is, unless I've missed something about how it works. ====Guillermo///=== Quote Guillermo Huapaya Jr www.decorativemerchandise.com [email protected]
