Almost 100% complete (hopefully) UK store called http://www.eshopsupplies.co.uk

Wandered what people have to say about it, criticism, etc always welcome.

I'm kinda proud of it although there are a couple of tiny graphical glitches in the header but almost every page is user editable and almost W3C compliant

Just looked at the first page.

Would get rid of the address at the top of the page. If I want to contact you I can hunt round a bit. It is lower down on the left and on contact us etc.

Date just wastes space.

Can see what you sell on a portable's screen, but I know I have been welcomed.

Having the copyright at the top of the page is another waste of selling space.

If all the images were the same height would look more professional.

Enjoy

Good day Rychan,

Review done with FireFox2.0 / broken WinXP / Intel 32 bit 1024x768 / popups disabled, cookies javascript enabled.

Interesting color combination. After a little while it even seemed sorta attractive.

Huh? Accesskeys?? Okay, cool, that is the first time I can remember finding a page regarding a site's access keys. Only problem is that they did not seem to work in Firefox or IE7.0 for me.

In your header where you have all the address info, ect, maybe you could fill the space with something like Scrolling Images Carousel With Hotlinks In Header.

This sentence puzzled me, "Part of South West Hygiene." Why is it there and what does it mean? (Note: Reviewer from the US, I would not know if this is a commonly known UK Brandname).

I wanna complain that some of the product images have (different color) borders while others have no border. I am guessing, but you are probably in a situation where you have little control over the available images.

The two columns on Terms & Conditions are uneven in width and length. They also lack enough of a margin to keep the text separated. This is a difficult page to read. I cannot comment on what your terms are, but there are alot of them.

Privacy Policy and Shipping are much better. (I even know what to expect to pull into my parking lot when I order items for which I request delivered.)

When I look at the section showing which credit cards you accept, why is the VISA icon shown thrice?

I created an account, easy enough. Of course I will gripe about being required to supply my gender.

I threw an item (5 Ltr Thin Bleach) into my cart and proceeded to check out. I kept looping at checkout_shipping.php with no explanation.

Your site seems logically lay-ed out. I could find product fairly easily. I hope your "purchasing public" finds it a nice site as well.

Good Luck

Thanks for the feedback, how odd the accesskeys didn't work for you, I'll have to do some browser debugging, worked ok in FF 2.xx / IE 6.xx although I've just installed IE7.0 and it is a whole new <sarcasm>BALL OF WONDEROUS JOY</sarcasm> for me.

Not sure about having an image carousel at the top, personally, it's important to the client for people to easily phone orders through if required. But I'll give it some thought. Adding the Contact Details at the top should help keyword searches in google though i'd hope?

Yes, as most of the content is generated by the client, a lot of the design does leave a bit to be considered , I think I'll go into the terms and conds page and "fix" it :)

The Visa Icon was required to be displayed for both electron, delta and standard visa hence the triple display, a little odd true but it does display that each type is accepted.

I'll look into that looping checkout_shopping.php bug, well, first I'll try and replicate it, bit of a serious issue there!

Never thought that putting a gender was an issue for customers actually. Using the stock oscommerce there, however that can be altered.

Coolies, thanks for the feedback I'll look into creating some sort of auto-cropping and scaling feature perhaps for my client regarding his chosen images. Probably with the ratio fixed also. That'd be nice.
