Where has my text gone ?

I am building an oscommerce store, and have lost the text on the customer sign up page

My Background is Black, and to work around this, i have asked for my text to be white in the stylesheet.

 

However, on one page the text does not show inside a form

 

I have recreated the problem on a test website, if anybody can PLEASE help with this
