I am trying to have differnet size images in different cataloges, new at this, it it possible

you can do this by changing the images sizes in Admin images, all you need do is to reomve the height and width by deleting the number there.

This will not constrain images and they will all show at their original size, so you will need to keep a tight control on the sizes.

you can use html tags to control them also
