How do I modify my SQL?

I want to install a couple of modules to my site but in the instructions they say to modify my SQL. I know how to find my SQL in my Cpanel but I have no idea what I have to do from there.

 

can some one help me please..

use phpMyAdmin to modify the database.

Thanks for the info, but how do I modify the SQL in phpMyAdmin. I can see everything that I need to modify like eg. config but I have no idea how to get into it... I am a little concerned that I will stuff things up if I just start to play around in there..
