mugitty
I have installed above mentioned contribution and all seems to be working well except that, when "Display Transit Time" is enabled, I get the following: United States Postal Service (1 x 7.7lbs) Express Mail (Tomorrow by Two Day Commitment is available.) Priority Mail (3 MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_TEXT_DAYS) Parcel Post (8 MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_TEXT_DAYS) I suspect that I can decipher what these transit time statements mean, but I doubt that my average customer could. Are these happening as a result of how the info is presented from USPS and, if so, can it be modified into plain english by the script? Also, having seen the other threads re: shipping from multiple locations (drop shipping), I appreciate how complex it might be to accomodate that. For our part, with any given item on any given day, I might ship it from our local store, from our distributor or even from the manufacturer, depending on where the stock happens to be... and it might go UPS or USPS, depending on which is most expedient. Has anyone tried to accomodate this type of scenario in any way other than trying to find a 'happy medium' through the use of creating a zone chart with the tools that already exist in osc? mugitty
In addition to the 'coded' delivery time statements, the rates from USPS are flawed (below is for 7.7 lbs. from ZIP 99336 to ZIP 20877): United States Postal Service (1 x 7.7lbs) Express Mail (Tomorrow by Two Day Commitment is available.) $34.75 Priority Mail (3 MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_TEXT_DAYS) $15.75 Parcel Post (8 MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_TEXT_DAYS) $17.79*** ***The USPS site shows the same rates except Parcel Post is $15.04 ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent!
