Cookie problems

Hi there

 

My site has been working correctly for over a year now. I use a shared secure server so my configure file passes the cookie information from the non secure environment (where guests etc can browse) to the secure server when they log in and want to purchase. My configure files are set up correctly with the correct paths to the secure and non secure.

 

I have checked and double checked this and they had been working for about a year.

 

Recently my hosting companies secure server went down and when they re-started it the cookie information is now not being passed. Therefore when my customers go to the secure server their cart contents are lost, and vice versa when they go from secure to non-secure the contents are not copied over.

 

I just want to emphasise: I have not changed the configure files that were previously working properly for over a year. The hosting company have looked and can't seem to work this one out and I think they are just giving up now.

 

What on earth could they have changed on their server settings?? Any hints so I can help resolve this.
