desiredin
Due to compatability issues with some JS I need to run, I have changed the DOCTYPE to 4.01 Strict. Obviously this forces proper viewing of the website to the standards on Firefox, Opera, and Safari. Which means I am getting extra spacing in my tables. Which effectively stretches my overall presentation down the screen. Does anyone know an easy-to-implement workaround in CSS to get rid of this added space? I have looked around and the two obvious workarounds have been to not use tables, and to knock down the DOCTYPE. Neither of which will work for me. Beside that, I see 1 or 2 other potential solutions to the problem but I ask, what method are you guys/girls using?
