Guest Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 My freelancer programmer has created a oscommerce website for me. When I checkout and pay using paypal, I noticed that the shipping address at the paypal site is different from the oscommerce store shipping address. The oscommerce store would use the shipping address that was created in the oscommerce store account. Paypal would use the default shipping address that was created under paypal account. I would like paypal to use the shipping address that is created under the oscommerce store. I am new to oscommerce. It is an unreasonable expectation on my part.
Guest Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Sorry, my question is: Is it an unreasonable expectation on my part?
pedgette Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 yes it is unreasonable. Once the customer is passed to paypal's site to pay, paypal is not going to use the user submitted address and add it to the paypal payment. It would be a security issue for paypal to say the least.

Thanks. I was under the impression that the programmer would be able to transfer the address from the oscommerce website to the paypal website. Thanks for clarifying this matter.
