Is there a way to add a multi select drop down attribute?

Yes, you can add multiple select - drop down attribute menus.

From the ADMIN Control Panel, select Catalog(from the left), click on Product Attributes.

1. Create a Product Option (ie. Enter "Test") - Click Insert

2. below Option Values select "Test" from the dropdown menu then Enter "Option 1" - Click Insert

3. Repeat step 2 with as many options as you wish and call each one a new name (i.e. "Option 2")

4. Under Product Attributes - Find your desired PRODUCT, your option name "Test" and your option value - Click Insert

5. Repeat step 4 until all of your product attributes are added to your products.

 

A very fast and simple way to accomplish this is by using the AJAX Attribute Manager V2.8.2 it is flawless, refeshes instantly and controls your attributes from within the Add/Edit Product page.

is there a way to create a dropdown menu where a customer can select multiple items from the dropdown menu.

 

EXAMPLE: (while holding down the ctrl button you can select small, medium, large)
