avatar1919 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Hi am absolutely new to php if i open a file- what program can i use? word? what format to i save it in? php does not show up as a format in word? any recommendations and please don't laugh roma
photofxplus Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 No - Word is not designed to do what you need. If you want to work in osC, then you would do best by getting a website program - word is not a website program. I use MS Front Page, but many do not like it for various reasons - it does have a steep learning curve. There is a whole lot out there, Dreamweaver is real popular CoffeCup is probably easiest to use Make sure it is WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) this means that it has a built in browser that shows you the page as you edit it. Good Luck! Lloyd
BryceJr Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 These are better than built-in ms notepad and they're free. 1. Notepad++ - source code editor 2. Beerwin`s PlainHTML - HTML and code editor You may also want to take a look at NVU or Kompozer.
