Moving Database to another host?

Hello all

I've searched internet on documentation relating to moving from one server to another.

Anyways, i moved the cart myself and wanted some feedback if this was the correct method.

1. Backed up original cart database.

2. Installed Oscommerce cart on new server.

3. Restored database over new Oscommerce cart.

Everything appears to be working apart from images not being carried across.

Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated.

regards

You have to copy your images folder from the old server to the new server as well.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

The images are stored in the images folder on your original osc install. They are not stored in the database, you'll need to bring your old images folder over too.
