DJxBrianxB Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Hi Everyone, New to the forum but have some decent experience with oscommerce. I'm having trouble bit of trouble. . . because I uploaded pictures of the products which are rather tall pictures and when I checked the store, all of the pictures were "fat". I'm curious if there is a mod or way for the size of the thumbnails to be fixed so the images dont get "crushed" down and make the product look bad. Any help would be great! Thanks, Brian
Jack_mcs Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 You could try leaving one of the small image settings in admin->Configuration->Images blank or installing an auto-thumbnail contribution. Guest Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Hi, You should prepare the pictures in proportion of the Small Image Width and Small Image Height. For example, if the Small Image Width and Small Image Height are: Small Image Width: 140 Small Image Height: 72 You should prepare pictures up in that proportion: 140 x 72 147 x 76 154 x 79 161 x 83 168 x 86 175 x 90 182 x 94 189 x 97 196 x 101 203 x 104 210 x 108 217 x 112 224 x 115 231 x 119 238 x 122 245 x 126 252 x 130 259 x 133 266 x 137 273 x 140 280 x 144 etc.... etc.... Best regards

Jack Hi Jack, Where can I find a decent auto-thumbnail contribution? Thanks alot for the reply(s)! -Brian
dmnalven Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 You could also use the admin Configuration -> Images settings to set ONLY the width OR height of an image placement (leave the other blank). This will resize your images proportionally per either the admin set width or height automatically. OsCommerce is set up so that only one large image need be specified for each product. Different, admin set, sizes are used in particular locations and automatically generated. For ALL problems, please review this link first -> osCommerce Knowledge Base
Jack_mcs Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Hi Jack, Where can I find a decent auto-thumbnail contribution? Thanks alot for the reply(s)! -Brian The On The Fly Thumbnail contribution works well if you get the correct one. The original 1.5 by Nate is known good. After that, there were too many kiddie-scripters that got into it so I can't suggest any of them.
