Unable to view Images subfolders

Hi

 

My Host recently upgraded to a new server running PHP5 and MySQL5.

 

The problem arises when I access the /images folder via CPanel I can't see any of the images nor the subfolders. I however can do uploads via CPanel to the Images Folder.

 

Using SmartFTP I can also access my /images folder as well as all of the images in the root of /images but not the subfolders. In fact the subfolders are not displayed.

 

Via osCommerce Admin I tried to access the Images folder. After a long wait I managed to get in. This time I saw the images as well as the subfolders. However right at the bottom I saw the following error message:

2006 - MySQL server has gone away select count(*) as total from sessions where sesskey = 'b0e0fe6bcd15888f94e9b7f802dd7a8e'

 

What can be done to rectify the above?

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
