My store doesn't work for people in foreign countries

I installed an osCommerce store on our website last month. We publish an academic journal and wanted subscribers, particularly our readers in Europe, to be able to subscribe and pay by credit card. I heard today from people in Mexico and Germany that the /catalog link takes them, instead of to our catalog, to an OS Commerce page in Spanish and German, respectively, that has nothing to do with our website or journal. Please, is this common, and does anyone have advice for me? The store seems to work OK here in the US, and we've had successful orders from Denmark and Canada. Thanks very much for any advice.

Do you have Spanish and German languages installed? By default osC comes with those languages installed but if you didn't set up your site for those languages when building your store it would make your site hard to navigate in those languages.

If those languages are installed then finish your store in those languages or remove them.

Thank you very much. I read somewhere here in the forums that it is sometimes better not to remove the German-Spanish language files, since there are many of them and I could possibly destroy something else while taking them out. I'll happily remove them, but is there a way instead to force the store always to default to the English files? I didn't know osC would "help" by pulling up the Spanish or German files for visitors from these countries. So: can anyone tell me, first, whether I can simply disable the German or Spanish files, or, second, where to find instructions for removing the files altogether? Related to this: if the store is pulling the German-Spanish files for foreign visitors, will it suffice simply to delete the language files, or does something have to be modifed so that the store no longer tries to pull them up? Thank you again for the help.

Never mind, I found this. http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...moving+language I hope it works. Thank you again for all the help!
