A very long install...i¡s this a problem?

I have: loaded the catalogue file to my host server ( using FireFTP from Firefox)

received a "new installation" box that I opened and filled in the form.

Am waiting for the "new database structure now being imported" dialogue come up.

 

I have been waiting more than an hour and it is still working. Is this normal?

I had the same thing happen on two sites; both one.com services and on one I completely eliminated all of the database elements ffom the site and reloaded the osCommerce material. I am still waiting for it to complete, more than an hour.

 

Is this normal or have I done something (or not don something) to cause this. I notice that the options spoken of in the documentation have not presented, so I have not done those. I assume they come later.

did you create the database? the installation does not create this for you.

There is an automatic one there (I assume!)

 

If not, do you mean I should go into the PHPAdmin page and just name a new one?
