Blogging to expand Your Store

I've been contemplating on weather or not my type of shop is a good candidate for a blog to go along side it. And I think it will, but I was wondering is there anyone else here that has a blog to go along with their store? I think it will give the site a more human and life to the site instead of a site with only products and $$$ you know?

 

Say I could actually blog about upcoming products, sells and more. What do you guys think about that? I think the biggest thing right now is that it will be a little more work right now for me and I'm starting to get pretty busy after 2 1/2 months.

It's always a good idea to have a blog for any kind of web site.

Why? Because it's another doorway to the site and a nicer way to talk about the bennefits of a product.

Also SERPS loves blogs and its conent.

 

I have many friends that have a blog at blogspot that talks about their primary site.

I have just joined up with 'blogger' to see whats it all about etc.

 

But, I am not sure as to how it can help with my site? Do I just fill in whatever I want whenever I want? And if so how do people find my bog as I cant seem to find others so how would they find mine and ultimately my site?

 

Would it be helpful to create a links page from my osc site to my blogger and so in turn this would create more links back to my site and move me up in the rankings?
