session class, etc. gone in 2.2 RC 2a

Hi all:

I've been updating a 2.2 CVS shop yesterday to a 2.2 RC2a version yesterday. I noticed that the session class and some other classes are not used anymore and the class methods have been reverted to function calls.

 

Don't recall any issues, so I've been wondering why that has been done?

 

If somebody could shed some light into this, it would be much appreciated!

Still haven't figured out why. Maybe there is somebody reading this today that could shed some light into it. Causing me some headaches with contributions.
