usps module not working should I reinstall?

I started a project nearly a year ago and now I'm trying to finish it. In the mean time I see the usps module became out dated. I found the latest (ver 3.0) and followed the directions to upgrade the module. But no joy.

 

Error: An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations.

 

So now I'm looking for some advice on how to proceed. I don't want to spend a lot of time trying to track down the problem (I'm not a developer...) so I thought maybe I should look at installing the latest version (I'm assuming the usps module works correctly in the download release) of osc and then uploading my database into the fresh install. Everything else in the store is exactly as I want it. Does this make sense as how to approach this problem? The only other module I had installed is the center shop module.

 

If I could get some input I would really appreciate it.

Proabably need to update your arrays in usps.php or install the USPS module version4
