RC Heli Pilot Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to change this setting. When you go to check out and it takes you to the sign in to PayPal Screen to Sign In, At the Bottom left it says "Return To [email protected]" It also displays the same saying after payment is made. Is there away to change this so it says "Return to MY STORE NAME" or replace it with an Image to be clicked on instead of it displaying my email address? It just looks funny reading it as returning to an email address instead of a store name. All of the stores i've ever bought stuff from using paypal i don't ever remember seeing it say return to and then the stores email address. So can you help me please, How or where is this changed at? Thank You. RCHP
Guest Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I've got a feeling this is a setting within your PayPal account and not osCommerce.
RC Heli Pilot Posted April 9, 2008 Author Posted April 9, 2008 I've got a feeling this is a setting within your PayPal account and not osCommerce. Are you sure? I've been al through PP and i didnt find anything having to do with the PayPal Screen and my Store but i would think that once the window leaves your store and loads PayPal then it would probably be on the PP side of things but for the life of me i can't find where or how to change this. Do you accept PayPal on your store? Did you have this same issue when you started and if so do you remember how to changed it? Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated please. RCHP

RCHP Yes that is very true you have to change the settings in your paypal setttings.
RC Heli Pilot Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Yes that is very true you have to change the settings in your paypal setttings. Okay,... I'm convinced that this is a paypal issue. I have an email in to PayPal as of yesterday but i still have not heard back from them on this issue. Can anyone here please explain to me where this gets changed at inside of paypal? Thank You for your Assistance. RCHP
RC Heli Pilot Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 OMG,... I was just on the phone with a guy named Mark from PayPal, After explaining what my issue was to him about 5 times he asked if he could place me on hold,.. After about 10 Minutes On Hold,... I heard a click and i was disconnected from them. Why am i not surprised.
RC Heli Pilot Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Okay,... I called back and spoke with a woman by the name of Karen. She says that this is a osCommerce issue and Not PayPal. She says that this is something inside of the coding for osC that is getting displayed when the buyer clicks on Confirm Order. I'm Confused! RCHP Edited: Here are two images from PayPal I found inside of their Help sections: If you look at the bottom left you will see where it says "Return To" and you can kind of see where it is displaying a "Name.com" Address and on mine it give my email address instead of displaying my URL address. I don't want my customers thinking that if they click that area that they'll start a New Email instead of actually being returned to my website. RCHP
umtwebby Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 What is the name of your store in the admin>config>my store section? Alternatively, does your business name in Paypal profile reflect your business or your email address?
Guest Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Which paypal contribute do you have installed the one with the IPN or what?
RC Heli Pilot Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 What is the name of your store in the admin>config>my store section? Alternatively, does your business name in Paypal profile reflect your business or your email address? 1.) My Store Name 2.) Under the Section that States "Review your information" It only asks for: Business Type:, Category:, Subcategory:, Average Transaction Price:, Average Monthly Volume:, Sales Venue(s):, Business URL:, Percentage of Annual Revenue From Online Sales:, Date Business Established:. Nothing that states Business Name. Which paypal contribute do you have installed the one with the IPN or what? None,... I'm using what was installed by default. RCHP

In my PayPal account, under that section, that is Paypal>profile>business information I have: Customer Service Phone Customer Service Email Business Name    Business Contact Name Business Address Business Type Company Number, Account Holder Date of Birth, VAT Number, Average Transaction Price:, Average Monthly Volume:, Sales Venue(s):, Business URL:, Percentage of Annual Revenue From Online Sales:, Date Business Established There is also an edit button to alter the information.

Hmm,... Thats Strange. All i get under Personal/Business where it says Review Your Information is this below: I did a Screen Capture to show you. I wonder why ours is different? I'm beginning to wonder if it even really matters anymore. It seems like more trouble than it's worth. RCHP
RC Heli Pilot Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Well,... After more research i might have figured it out. There seems to be even another account type beyond Premier which is business. With a business account the only difference from what i can tell is that it allows "Multi User Access".

WE both learned something then. ;)
SirClive Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Yep. I am a business account holder. I didn't know of the premier account. WE both learned something then. ;) I had exactly the same issue and solved it in the same way. But I now have another issue. When customers click the 'return to weekend gamer' button they get a warning message about passing unsecure info. As far as I am aware it is just the info required to complete the sale in osCommerce, but I think customers will be scred by the message and close the window, meaning that although I get the payment I won't have the sale tracked in osCommerce. Anything I can do to solve this? Thanks.

I read this, this morning trying to figure out my issue, Is this what is happening to you? Copied from PayPal below: "Why should I store images on a secure server? We recommend that you enter an image URL for your custom page style only if the image is stored on a secure server. If the image is not stored on a secure server, your customer's web browser will display a message that the payment page contains insecure items. You can determine whether or not your image is stored on a secure server by examining its URL. The URL for an image on a secure server will begin with https:// instead of http:// (Note the additional s.) " https://www.paypal.com/?cmd=p/pop/cowp_help_image_server RCHP

I assume there are no free secure image upload services like photobucket <_<

I assume there are no free secure image upload services like photobucket <_< OMG!!! :o I was actually able to help someone with a problem. I'm Shocked. I used my image directly from my image directory and i don't seem to be having that issue. To test it i made a purchase using my wife account and it seemed to work just fine, Then i refunded the money and all is good. Try that and let me know how it works for you. RCHP
