How to get a private key & public certificate

Recommended Posts

Hi, Hope all is well with everyone. I have two questions

1- Im trying to get paypal standard to work, i already got the paypal public certificate, im not sure how to get a private key and "your public certificate". the paypal certificate looks something like this.

-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----kjdfhsdfblah blah blha-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----blah blah blah blah-----END CERTIFICATE-----

for my private key do i just copy this -----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----kjdfhsdfblah blah blha-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY----- into another file and make it end in .pem? or do i have to get a completely different key, if so where can i get it?

2-i am getting these two errors on the checkout confirmation page

Warning: openssl_pkcs7_sign() [function.openssl-pkcs7-sign]: error getting private key in /home/islamicg/public_html/includes/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php on line 338

Warning: file_get_contents(/tmp/674764-2-signed.txt) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/islamicg/public_html/includes/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php on line 343

the first one i know can be fixed once i get this key thing figured out, i have no idea what the second one is about. Any help would be appreciated.

you don't need any certificates for paypal standard contribution

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

If you are go to SSL Manager>Private Keys

Generate a new key

If not ask your web host

Hope it helps
