Upgrading to 3.x and plugins from V2.x

I Have my store up and running for some time now and really do not know all I did to get all plugins working. Now I ask myself and the team from osCommerce what if I upgrade from my version 2.2-MS2 to a higher version will my plugins still work ro do I have to install all again and spend days on it?
