Icon in Product Categories

I wish to add a small icon to my category listings if possible. For instance :'( Product line one :'( product line two and so forth. The intention is to have the icon nested against the left table edge followed    then the category product line. I will also be doing similarly with the information box. If this is not feasible, then I can create a small banner link incorporating the icon along with the category product line and link that way as long as it works throughout the system. I have looked through the contributions and the forum to see if there is any way of doing this and presently, all I can find is changing the actual box heading to a logo or icon.

Any ideas would be brilliant.
