martinwprior Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 I have trying to install Oscommerce on my Debian (Linux Mint) system. I have mysql, php5 and apache2 after getting the install screen up. Down on the left bottom side is a boxed area called Server Capabilities: All have green ticks apart from MySql, Curl and GD. I have installed php-mysql and anything with curl in it and gd. they never show up with a green tick. If I proceed I get hung up in testing database connection (it never ends). Can anyone tell me what are the three applications/libraries : Mysql Curl GD. What are their official package names? Do all the ticks have to be green? regards Martin Prior
Guest Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 If they are installed try restarting Apache. I don't know what the official names are but Google should tell you. If you are doing this on your desktop with XAMPP or similar make sure you are editing the correct php.ini file, there might be several. You might have to start the Mysql server manually, it may not start with apache or the server.
