Guest Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I made a mistake with some SQL hacking, and deleted my entire database. Luckily, I have the entire contents backed up in csv files from Easy Populate. How do I add another database to start again and import the data? The full install of PHP files are still there. I've added a database shell using mySQL, I just need OSCommerce to populate the blank database. How do I get it to forget there should be one there and go through the "install" process Cheers guys!
Guest Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 did you create a user for the database? one thing you can do is install the default db but remove the product attributes and only keep one product. once the default is up, you can go into the back end and use tp upload
Guest Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Thanks you - I don't think I created a user! How to I install the default database if I try to take that option?
Guest Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 look in the oscommerce download, you will find one there. and next time, create a database backup.
Guest Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Thank you Mibble. One last question if you have time. I've found some default databases. How do I import one of these using phpmyadmin. Cheers, you've been extremely helpful.
Guest Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 via the query. you can copy and paste (if the default is a db which gets installed if someone wants sample data).
