If you go to admin->Catalog and can see the manufacturer data there and your Header Tags is installed correctly, then your manufacturers table are probably not setup correctly. There are two of them and they can get out of sync. You would have to edit the tables to fix that or not use the manufacturer option.

The tables were allright, I think. My mistake though,

I checked for the index page, the manufacturer's + unchecked the root options

and all came back to order, the warning messages disappeared in the manufacturer listing.

I tried that, and I did the fill tag for just the one category and it's still showing generic "page title - store name"

Am I missing something in a file? If so, which file should I look at. I can go over the installation instructions again.

I don't know what this is in reference to (if you are referrring to an earlier post, please provide a link). But if you are saying the categories pages are not displaying the correct title, then it is either not recorded correctly (admin->Catalog) or you don't have the options setup correctly (page control).

Actually I have my product listed in the following way

 

Category - Subcategory - Product Name

 

When I turned off the 'Display Category Parents in Title and Tags' ....It only removed the Category but not the subcategory

 

Now before turning off the option it was like

 

TOYS - AGE 7 TO 10 - R/C CAR

 

Now when I have Turned off the option

 

AGE 7 TO 10 - R/C CAR

 

I also want to remove the subcategory from the title...Help please...

When I turned off the default category checkbox, all the categories which have title are not showing up.... This is not helping my cause :(

I'm sorry but I can't hold your hand the entire way. You have to try things, and maybe read the documentation and this thread. Header Tags will allow you to have just about any combination of titles you want but you have to set that up.

Try doing a search for

<?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?>

 

This will give you the area that needs to be changed. the code above will be in a table cell simialar to this

Select that table cell and the one below it and replace with the new code

No, there isn't an option for that since it is a mistake. The description and title should contain the same basic information for best SEO results. You can change that by editing the code though. It is in includes/functions/header_tags.php.

I am setting up a new OSC store with a clean install of OSC 2.2rc2a and your contributions Ultimate SEO V 2-2.2d-9 and Header Tags SEO 3.2.2

 

I have carefully followed the installation instructions for Header Tags including basic set up where I used Fill All Tags. Ultimate SEOs is switched on and appears to be working fine.

 

The problem I am stuck on is that the category and manufacturer pages are erroneously showing the same title tag as the home page. If I change the title tag for the home page in Page Control, that also changes it on all category and manufacturer pages.

 

When I used Fill All, no errors were reported. However if I ticked boxes "show missing tags" and "include missing descriptions" all categories and manufacturers are listed as missing tags:

60 Category tags have been filled.

27 Manufacturer tags have been filled.

I've run Test and these are the results:

Cannot find file /home/engra2/public_html/vintage-royalty-free-images/includes/modules/header_tags_social_bookmarks.php.

Well it turns out I was not as careful as I should have been. The problem below was due to me not having copied admin/functions/general.php from the install files.

Thought I'd note this here inc case others have this problem.

hi hope some one can help, i've updated to the latest version, when i click on admin>header tags seo the link shows as being http://doorsteppetfood.co.uk/admin/header_tags_seo.php?selected_box=headertags but opens as a blank page if i input the links to silo, fill, test etc the pages display when i run the test again i get blank page, can someone point me in right direction.

That's usually due to the files not be uploaded correctly. Please try uploading all of the files in the catalog.admin directory of the contribution to your admin directory, keeping the paths the same.

Thanks Jack, i deleted all files, uploaded new ones but still the same, i now notice that i cant call the header_tags_seo.php direct blank page again ?
