Web design appearance. How tailorable is the appearance with osCommerce

Hi,

I know html and css's, bits og javascript, fireworks and photo shop and dreamweaver, flash.

To alter the appearance of the web page with osCommerce will I need to know php.

I just want to put in colours, images, possibly animated gifs and make sure the site has its own look and feel.

Is this possible with my limited skills apparently. Does anybody know!? The appearance is very important.

In answer to your questions .. literally anything can be done with oscommerce, whether that be features or design .. however .. it requires a knowledge of PHP.

 

You can get by if you only have basic html skills but you have to learn as you go and if you have the time it's fine and very rewarding. If however you are looking at a deadlined project and you don't understand PHP then forget it or hire a coder.
