Fatal Error after attempted contrib install

I tried installing the Ultimate SEO URL v.2.1 contrib on top of a previously working store (2.2ms2) using STS. Now when I access the store, I get the following error:

 

Fatal error: Call to undefined method sts::image() in /catalog/includes/functions/html_output.php on line 69. That line is:

 

67 // START STS v4.4:

68 global $sts;

69 $sts->image($src); // Take image from template folder if exists.

70 // END STS v4.4

 

Clueles as to what could be causing this, I tried commenting out the line causing the rror, which led to:

 

Fatal error: Call to undefined function tep_hide_session_id() in /catalog/includes/boxes/search.php on line 25

 

I've backtracked, removing new files, removing new database fields, and replacing the edited files with backups, but the error remains. I've spent a couple of hours on Google and here looking for some insight but nothing so far.

 

Does anyone have a clue as to what could have been affected by the install/uninstall?
