Guest Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 That CC module is for testing only (it is not real). There is also a demo shop under the yellow showcase button at the top of this page.

Guest Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Actually i want to know how CC works ? - google is good I read some shopping cart sites store CC in Database and process them manually - that is illegal Again i don't want to redirect user to other sites paypal or other services for payment. - to accept CC then your only option is to add a phone in or mail in type payment. Yes, you will need EFTPOS facilities to do this.

Check out: http://www.informed-merchant.com/articles/introduction.html Thanks Leslie Cooper,Coopco,Andree Greer for your valuable informations. Thanks for the link -its very useful :) - I'm not for manually processing of credit cards. I think i need gateway like Authorize.Net or 2checkout. :-" One final question - When i checkout using paypal - customer taken to paypal site and customer need to provide his details there. What will happen if i use Authorize.Net or 2checkout - Here too the customer need to enter details ? Or Authorize.Net or 2checkout just uses merchant account and checks the credit card and returns to my site - thus everything happens in background. Customer don't see any pages from Authorize.Net or 2checkout while shopping ?

Helpmerchants Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 The cheapest way to accept cc's online is to open a merchant account and link your shopping cart to a payment gateway. "In the modern economy, a merchant account is priceless" www.helpmerchants.com Do you take plastic?
