custom category styles

Hi--

 

I'm wonder how flexible the designs can be. If I have several categories, I'd like each category to have a different look. The basic layout will be the same, but change the colors in the header and maybe add some additional links below the content.

 

A great example of what I'm talking about its shopbop.com. When you click on the categories, a giant image in the content area changes. The nav section also changes. For example, click on "shop by brand" and see the scrolling list below change. Click an item there and it again changes. Also, I'd like to mimic the image hover so hovering over thumbnails will display larger images to the right.

 

Can osCommerce do this?

The way it posts, it may or not be exactly what you are looking for out of the box.. but it just might be configurable to get what you want. I've never used it myself but it's a place to start.
