crimsontree Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 Hi, Is there a feature which does not allow customers to buy items (or reserve items) that are not currently in my stock? That means that when customers try to add more items to their basket than I have in stock, they will be stopped. Is it also possible that OSCommerce tells the customer what the maximum amount of items they can order is? thanks. cheers, Crimsontree
jon_l Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 There is an option called 'allow checkout' in 'configuration / stock' within admin. Setting this to false should stop checkout if you don't have the stock available. I'm not sure how this works, as we hace it set to true. However, whilst set to true, it does give actual stock counts of what can and can't be shipped straight away. Jon.
Guest Posted December 22, 2002 Posted December 22, 2002 I'm looking for this same solution. Jon, I don't see an allow checkout option in my admin. Are you using 2.2 or 2.1?
mattice Posted December 22, 2002 Posted December 22, 2002 It's in 2.2.... Admin -> Configuration -> Stock HTH Mattice "Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them"
