My admin area has gone slightly odd

My admin area links/headers have all gone a bit wrong looking:

any ideas why?

 

Yup you've deleted or overwritten catalog/admin/includes/languages/<mylanguage>.php

i was doing something in there...one of the "how to's" ... if i just pop the original back in there will that cure it?

You're supposed to seek out your old posts, not start a new one (about the same topic).

only thing i was editing in that file was the date thing in the how to...so god knows how i managed to screw it up. thanks for your reply here and there ;)

 

clicking tracking on all posts in future.

After you login, click on your name in the list of online members, then "Find members posts".

 

That will help find topics/posts you've already made.

If you did that incorrectly, it could cause the problems you're seeing.

silly me. i looked for a "posts i have made" link or somthing, and i tried searching for it, but the title was rather vague so finding it proved not possible. thanks for the tip, will use in future.

fixed. now to do that date thing properly lol.

 

one other question...on the "how to" topic there is a "make my site centred and a set width"...why would you want to?...sure it is better to have it adjust to the best size on the customers screen? e.g. my laptop is widescreen and 800 width looks stupid.
