OK, I tried for days to make the "PayPal" payment module to work and no order logged. I finally looked around at the other modules and saw "PayPal Website Payments Standard" module, so i tried it. It made the payment just as the other one but it logged the order this time. Whohoo! I got one e-mail that you ussualy get from PayPal that looks like it comes from the buyer with their e-mail address and another one that showed as below.

This works but I just get this IPN failure message now. Do I need to fix this? I did not enable it in paypal as I am not sure what to do on My server.

I have PayPal setup this way.

Enable PayPal Website Payments Standard > True

E-Mail Address > [email protected]

Payment Zone > --none--

Set Preparing Order Status > Preparing [PayPal Standard]

Set PayPal Acknowledged Order Status > default

Gateway Server > Live

Transaction Method > Sale

Page Style > I left Blank

Debug E-Mail Address > [email protected]

Sort order of display. > 0

Enable Encrypted Web Payments > False

Are you saying that you grabbed a newer website payment standard than the one you had been using? How did you install it? Just unzip it and drop it in place?

Thanks,

Pat

I am not sure I can help you Pat. I am not that far, yet. I was trying to use "Paypal" and switched to "website payment Standard" on the payment modules in the admin. Now I I get errors with the payment, but at least it works and the customer does not see it.

But I would like to fix it if any one know how too.
