link to another website in .php

My client wants to list "recommended partners" (special links) to other websites.

As an example, he wants to have a page with special links to his other websites/clients etc.

I've added the new page fine - and I've searched everywhere on how to add .html in an .php page with no luck.

I've tried:

<td align="right">testing link <a href="'http://www.seeit.com' </a>'</td>

and <td align="right">testing link <a href="' . tep_href_link(seeit.com) . '"> </a>'</td>

and nothing seems to work.

I'm not an .php coder, but I was able to get the new page added correctly in the Information box as Recommended Links, which then points to http://www.solarsunglasses.net/links.php, but now I can't get the link to work.

It just displays testing link

How can I link to another website in .PHP?

The correct format would be something like this:

<a href="http://www.seeit.com">testing link</a>

That would make it replace the current window.

To keep the store, and open a new window:

<a target="_blank" href="http://www.seeit.com">testing link</a>

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

No I really feel dumb. I've been working to long, and went brain dead - Thank you for bringing me back to sanity!

And if you want a text balloon on a mouseover add the title attribute:

<a title="Click here to visit seeit.com" target="_blank" href="http://www.seeit.com">testing link</a>

You can't use the tep_href_link for external sites because it always puts the store url into the HTML.

;)
