ShopD2 Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I just finished getting the 2.2 Installed New Version, so it has that default stuff which I need to remove, but I'm not sure what to do next after installing A Template perhaps? If so give me some links and advice of how to go about! ~Thanks

digilee Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 You have 2 choices. 1, Get a template - Then spend days/ weeks trying to get that template to work and in the end it'll look just like another other templated OSC site. 2, Learn how to rip OSC apart and design yourself something that looks original in less time than 1. ShopD2 Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 Uhm For ripping OSC apart, how would I do this? I have dream weaver and photshop but I need to know where to get started :)
digilee Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Download and read the OSC manual and any of these books. Do you know any PHP or CSS? If not then you've a huge learning curve. Start with the basics and play around in the stylesheet.css file that sits at root level. Whatever you do BACK UP ALL FILES BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES. Avec Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 if you just want to change the text, all of that can be found in the languages directory.
