ajbird Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 We are very interested in getthing this setup on our site (http://www.cl-floraldesigns.co.uk/) however, after an afternoon playing with contribs i am confused.. Am I right in thinking that there is no way to get Google Checkout to work just like the paypal module does ie offer Google checkout as an option at checkout after the user has selected the postage they require? it looks to me like google checkout wants to impluiment its own postage setting? i am very confused and just wasted a day on this .. the rates for google checkout are great and we would love to have this option to our customers. help! web-project Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 it looks to me like google checkout wants to impluiment its own postage setting? no, the google take the shipping options data from your website via API. Am I right in thinking that there is no way to get Google Checkout to work just like the paypal module does ie offer Google checkout as an option at checkout after the user has selected the postage they require? you can install the Google Checkout IPN version but this contribution against the Google Checkout TOC. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Can anyone recommend a Merchant / Gateway combo that EASILY integrates with OSC. Nochex is looking very reasonable with slick integration. Quote

Guest Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Google checkout is great, much better than paypal in many ways. Definately get it setup. It will work fine with OSCommerce, I have been trying to get it installed and have hit a wall (at the moment) but there are people around these forums (and on google forums) that will help. Quote
