How do you Increase The Amount of Characters for Products Model Area?

How do you change this so that i can have longer Product Model #'s?

 

I like to have Long Model #'s so that I know Exactly what customers are ordering. I have to many items that are the same and would love to add long Model #'s for each product.

 

Can someone please tell where where or how this is done please?

You'll need to increase the field size of the products_model field in the products and orders_products tables. I've set mine to 20. You can use PhpMyAdmin to help you do it.

By default, My products_model was set to 12 and the orders_products was set to 11.

I'm not sure why one was 12 and the other was 11 but anyway,... I set both to 22 and all seems to be well.

 

That is just what i needed.
