jsi Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Regarding Easy Populate Mod: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,500 If I have say 1,500 products online already but I want to add only an additional 50, can I upload a file with only the desired 50 to be uploaded? In other words, it wont remove all other 1500 listings? Kinda like a differential option? How does Easy populate work exactly? Can I do this or do I have to upload the complete, and full list at a time? I notice that it can add products on the fly, but will it delete them also? I'm concerned if it does that or if there is a way to control these settings. Guess I want a more detailed explanation of how it works before I take a crack at it. If I want to delete something do I have to do that via control panel or will it support deletes? How about edits? If I want to edit an item, will it simply overwrite the exisiting one? Jack_mcs Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 The delete option was added to the last version but I've never tried it. What not try this. Create a file with one product in it. Make that one product unique by using some model number you don't have and some category you don't have. Then test away. It can all be deleted when you are done testing.
