Easy Populate Question

Regarding Easy Populate Mod:

http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,500

If I have say 1,500 products online already but I want to add only an additional 50, can I upload a file with only the desired 50 to be uploaded? In other words, it wont remove all other 1500 listings? Kinda like a differential option?

How does Easy populate work exactly? Can I do this or do I have to upload the complete, and full list at a time?

I notice that it can add products on the fly, but will it delete them also? I'm concerned if it does that or if there is a way to control these settings. Guess I want a more detailed explanation of how it works before I take a crack at it.

Also,

Has anyone gotten Easy Populate to work with Dynamic MoPics?

Thanx in advance.

Yes, you can upload as few products as you wish.

That's great! Thank you. How about delete? Does it support deletes or edits?

If I want to delete something do I have to do that via control panel or will it support deletes?

How about edits? If I want to edit an item, will it simply overwrite the exisiting one? Or does it not support edits of existing items?

Thank you much in advance!

The delete option was added to the last version but I've never tried it. What not try this. Create a file with one product in it. Make that one product unique by using some model number you don't have and some category you don't have. Then test away. It can all be deleted when you are done testing.

It supports edits fully. It will only create a new product if the product does not already exist based on the model number.

You create the excel file by using the download option, or you can just use the included one and add your products. For further help, you should ask in the support thread for Easy Populate.
