Guest Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I have a contribution installed at the moment (cant think off top of my head which) which shows related products with each product to the user, what i want in addition to this though is to display related or "recommended" products to customers at the checkout. Is there another contribution or solution anyone knows about that will work for this? spdev
ohioman Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 This contribution you installed.. does it show products that are related because they are in the same category as the product purchased?.. or are they related as an "add on sale" to the product purchased? If you are looking to make "add on sales", Example: if you sell winter hats, and want to suggest to the customer to buy gloves with that... here is something you might be interested in: Fast Easy Cross-Sell http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/4408 If you are looking to list products that are in the same category as the product being purchased, Example: A customer buys a hat from you , and you suggest other hats in the same category as the one purchased. There is a way to suggest these items. There is a mod (can't think of it at the moment) that says something like "Customers who purchased this product also purchased" . Perhaps this is the one you have?? At any rate, no matter which one you are looking to accomplish.... it can definately be done. At the moment the contrib i have will show products that have already been purchased along with others so in order for it to show products they would like they have to make test purchases to match the products they want to show...hassle!
