Guest Posted December 17, 2002 Posted December 17, 2002 I particularly like how it looks when you put an item in the "Special" list, with the crossed out price, followed by new price. But... I want the slashed price to be the MSRP, that would be entered in the Admin when entering the item. Then there's the "Price" which would be what I would sell it at. All essentially, all my items would look like that. Now I can do that by putting everything in as a Special. But, when I do that, they miss out on my "Real" specials. So then I would enter the item into the Special with the new price which would just replace the old one for the specified date range (with a 0 being indefinite). Anyone know if anything like this exists, I'm going through the contributions, and I'm on like page 15, but I haven't seen anything. Quote
Ajeh Posted December 17, 2002 Posted December 17, 2002 The Free Call for Price add-on has List Prices and an optional slash on the List Price. v.4 is available on my site. v5.0 is being worked to work with the new checkout and make it way easier to use ... rumor has it. I have not tried to peice in v4.0 on the november or newer snapshot ... so definitly you do this at your own risk. You can see this at: http://www.thewebmakerscorner.com/snapmods_new Quote
Guest Posted December 17, 2002 Posted December 17, 2002 Yeah, I like that... Slash the list price, slash the regular price, enter a new price, and have savings :) I'm about to go to the newest snapshot, so I'll prob wait for your newer version :) Quote
aperfecthost Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Here's what I need... I need to be able to put a "special" price on each product. I don't need all the other wonderful things offered with the quantity controller, so I don't want to take the time to modify my VERY mod'ed (lots of contributions/mods) site. How can we do this WITHOUT going through the "specials" on the admin page. can this be added to the catalag/products input page in Admin or do we have to do this for each item manually through specials. I do have the Easy Populate mod installed, but don't see how to handle specials using that. Thanks for any and all help! Quote
loxly Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 That's one of the mods that has been requested for EP and I might try and get to it later this week. I have to check out a new version of EP that I didn't get a chance to look at today and then I'll see about adding this. (No Randy, I didn't forget about it :) ) Quote [no external urls in signatures please, kthanks]
aperfecthost Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 Just checking to see if you worked on the mod that would work in MS1 that would allow easy populate to put a "special" price on each product. Please let me know when you think that might be ready. THanks! Quote
loxly Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 Is the specials price going to be the same for all products, like a percentage? If so there will be a new mod for that soon. I haven't been able to work on EP. I have however discovered the joy of directly importing text files into the database using phpMyAdmin. If you have access, poke around abit and you may find you don't need EP to accomplish what you need, but just a spreadsheet with the right fields spelled out.
