To edit your files, you will need to download them, edit them on your computer and re-upload them again. If you are not familiar with how to do that, please post that question and then continue from there.

You first need an ftp program. Filezilla is a very easy and free one. You just have to enter your domain name, username and password and you can connect to your server. Once you do, you locate the files you want to work on, right click and select download load. It will download it to whatever location you have setup in the other window. To edit the file, you can use just about any editor but one designed for php usually gives better results and options. Once the file is edited, you right click on it and select upload. Be sure to upload to the same location you downloaded it from. Once it is uploaded, refresh your browser and the change should be there. one caveat though - always keep a backup of the file. If something goes wrong, you can just upload the backup and get your site working again.
