Advice Needed on Images

Hello;

I have been looking around the forum site with little luck in the area I'm having a problem. I have installed the OS Commerce and so far everything has worked out great, except for one area: images. I want to have a bit more control on the image sizes that show up on the site. I would like to increase the image size on default page that shows the newest items by several pixels, and I would like to increase the image on the main page by quite a bit. I'm using a custom three column, fixed-width layout where the center column is about 400px wide. I would like to increase the default image on that page to span most of the column.

The problem is that it seems like there is only one image size stored in the db, and there is no way to set the displayed image size to different sizes on different pages. I REALLY need some help on this as I've racked my brain and can not come up with a solution to this. ANY help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks. bit182

One way around this is to remove the setting, delete the entry in the maximum image size.

However this means that there will be no control over the image sizes, a bit tricky if our store is large.

The result of this is that all images will be shown at actual size.

It may not be perfect but it should solve your immediate problem when searching for a more usable solution

That is a good idea, and I wonder if, after I did that, if I could reset the image sizes for the time being within the individual php pages?
