Can't find install folder

i've uploaded the entire catalog folder but when I try to start the install I get

 

Not Found

The requested URL /catalog/install was not found on this server.

 

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

 

I've tried various things, taking out the catalog, adding a slash etc

 

I have no changed my dns yet so am just using the direct server number, would that matter though?
