FIMBLE Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I had this whilst setting up a new store the other day, in the end i deleted the category, and then created it again re inserted the product and it worked fine. Turns out that i used two words for the category and not one! Not sure if its an OSC thing or just me! Never had it before. Hope it helps you a bit Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions

burt Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 If I recall correctly... If a category has subcategories, the products will not show. In other words, a category can contain ONLY products OR further subcategories. Not both. Cat 1: Sub Cat 1_1: Sub Cat 1_2: Cat 2: Cat 3: Sub Cat 3_1: In the above example, you can put products in: Sub Cat 1_1: Sub Cat 1_2: Cat 2: Sub Cat 3_1: You cannot put products in: Cat 1: Cat 3: as these contain subcategories.

Hi Burt, ;) Yes I think that was where I wnet wrong - having thought I had selected the subcategory, it turned out that I hadnt and had plonked the product in to the category header  Cheers Gill
