More than 1 install of osC on same site?

Hi there,

 

A client of mine wants a shopping cart and I've been playing with osC a bit and it seems like it'll work out. The thing is, they want 4 distinct sections of their site that are independent of each other, like 4 separate shops. (One of them is password protected, one is for consumer products, and the other two are for specific audiences)

 

So my question is, can I run 4 separate instances of osC on the same site, sharing the same SSL cert, etc? Or is there another way to handle this?

I've been able to install different versions of the same store in different folders, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to set up 4 stores in folders catalog1, catalog2... all working independently.

But, I'm new, having problems accommodating a templated version... that's why I have 2 versions, I'm trying to see by comparing what is the problem with the templated one... Good luck.
