salim Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Hello, Os commerce is a great product. It has been working great as a retailer. Recently, I have a client who has a resale permit. So this client wants the sale tax to be waived. I'm not able to use refund trick, ie as the client to pay in full but refund the sale tax later. I can't use coupon approach as well. Is there any contribution I can use or some configuration I can set in OScommerce for this purpose so the sale tax won't show up while customer checks out? I'm using 2.2-ms2 version. Thanks Salim

salim Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 Change your Customer to the Customer Group "Wholesale" and edit the Customer Group Wholesale to be "Tax Exempt". jon jon, Thanks for pointing this out. I can't seem to find Customer Group setting in my installation. Is this only available in Add on module for SPPC? Thanks salim
jonquil Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 That would seem right :) It's all just ones and zeros....
salim Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 That would seem right :) I think I'm out of luck with SPPC. I spent good 3 hours to manually merge the change of SPPC to my OSC but found out some compatibility issue after half way through. My OSC version rather old, oscommerce-2.2ms2-051113 and I have quite some add-on contributions and my own customizations for reports and etc. Guess I need to do my own customization again to have this feature. Not sure if OSC 2.2 final version will include SPPC as standard features. THanks Salim
satish Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 SPPC should work but it needs a lot of code modification. If You are aware of PHP code and oscommerce functions then You can merge it.
