After being purchased, Items still show in inventory?

Hi, I've sold a few items from my new store, but after being paid for and shipped, they still show up on my website inventory. Is this because of some configuration I have wrong? On each item, I only had a quantity of 1 in stock, so I thought they would be removed after someone purchased them.

 

In my store configuration, I have these options set:

Check stock level true

Subtract stock true

Allow Checkout true

Mark product out of stock ***

Stock Re-order level 5

 

 

I really don't want to end up selling 2 of an item I only have 1 of, so any help is appreciated!

sorry but i have to say you have only yourself to blame: if you set Allow Checkout to false then no one can buy any items on your site if the quantity is zero. The setting is pretty clear and easily understood, No?

other options: you set the status of the zero quantity items to false (the red dot) then they wont even show on site; use some add-on (there's at least one there) that would display a sold out button (which does not respond to click) if quantity is zero.
