Krisz1 Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Hello I need to display two prices on each product, one for people buying one or two items and another one for wholesalers, people who buy at least 50 or 100 items at once.. My 'solution' was to have two paralell versions of OsC but this demanded a lot of effort managing them.. so I eventually kept one. Is there a contrib out there which can add a second price under the first one like "for large quantities: $xxx each" ? It doesn't has to be x% discount for all, instead, each product (or category) has it's own wholesaler discount or just an amount typed manually Thanks !

I haven't used one yet, but I think an "Affiliate" module would possibly do what you are after? Somehow? As under my impressions, you could classify them for discounted rates, and maybe also you would need MinOrder Qty and Total sale etc? http://addons.oscommerce.com/category?search=affiliate
Krisz1 Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 Thanks, altough I havent tested the affilate modules, I don't intend to receive orders with this wholesale price, it's just an informative value, people that want to order large quantities will eventually get in touch before making the order, so I don't need any payment or order total module to use that information... I just need to add a second price field when you add a product, where I can define either a discount % or just type the amount I like, and then, show it with a smaller font under the 'main' price on product page.. similar to when you have a (old) striked price and the new one.
Guest Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 I would suggest SPPC which gives you the ability to have Retail customers and Wholesale customers. Retail prices are shown on the site but if an account is approved for Wholesale pricing when they log in they will see their pricing. It is also not to hard to code in that wholesale customers have to purchase a certain amount of a product or a certain value for their entire order. IMO it is better otherwise you will have retail customers asking for the wholesale pricing and coming up with every reason they can think of to get it. This way they have no idea what the discounts are unless you approve them first. The downside is that a wholesaler might not stick around your site and create an account just to see your pricing. Depends on your market and customer base.
Guest Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Thank-you Peter, for the post...as I would in the future also require this. I would suspect that this is it? http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...436&hl=sppc Thx...Jim
