Running v2.2 RC2a.

I have also tried seacrhing the forums for this problem, but found nothing..

I had to start from scratch a week ago, and for some reason in admin when entering Price(net) and (gross)... they mirror each other?.. Meaning if I put 1.00 in net, the same displays in gross...and if I change Gross, the net changes again to what I entered...

I'm baffled, as I know it did not do this before..

Thx in advance..

Have you set up your taxes and tax zones in admin?

Leslie, thank-you for the reply...

How would this effect net/gross prices while entering an item?.. (I'm confused on this) I just removed the all traces of the defaulted "Florida"...and replaced with Wisconsin...and entered zones/rates...etc..

Yet, the same thing happens...

I had "not" done anything prior a couple weeks ago when I did the first install, yet it worked then..

Thx for ther reply, but still baffled.

Again Leslie, thx for the reply... When I select Taxable goods, it then adds the 5.5% to grossOK..

I also created a "no tax" w/0%.... yet both the Net/Gross keep changing to the same...no matter what i enter?

I guess I am more confused, as I just want to toos in my COST and then have a Selling Price?

OK, you do not need the zero zone set up, but now I am a tad confused. If you use zero tax, why would the net and gross differ?

Leslie, again...thx for the reply... When I "do" use a taxable state, it "does" add the 5.5% when entering in Net... 100.00 in Net, then reflects as $105.50 in Gross.

But, if I use a No Tax situation, entering 100 in net auto-populates all by itself directly into the Gross the same exact 100.. And, when I goto Gross, and change there, the NET goes to whatever I enter..

And I am pretty positive it didn't do it before, the only install contrib I have is Scott's >

Thx again, Jim...as this is baffling me...lol

In my "world"..lol of Business, the NET is cost...and the Gross would be selling price.. It it were "not" an inventory adding page, on the main invoice Net would be a line total, and Gross would be a total of all line items..

How about this, what I was under the impression of, is that I could enter my "cost"...and then decide a "selling price"..

This is my dilema, I will be listing "identical items from the same manufacturer".. BUT!! I will be buying these from different "sources" (suppliers)...and they have different costs to me at time, and I need to be able to a cost for Suppler1, Supplier2, Suppler3 etc...all while staying with the same "selling price" until I change it.

Maybe you are aware of a contrib ( that's bug free ) that is able to do this?...

Not that I know of (addon, that is).

I do my costings outside of osc.

Wow, hard to believe...as an example...a multiple supplier, for same "model/item" module doesn't exist...yet.. I played with OSC back in 2004, and tossed it to the curb in favor of another...looks like I might just do it again...lol

(example)

Toshiba 25" Model 2500 TV.. Sells for $ 299.00

Kmart Cost 199.00

Shopko Cost 198.00

WalMart 197.00

Leslie, again... I thank-you for your time :-)

Jim,

Check out the Margin Report Addon - I'm about to try to install it on my store because the Net/Gross function for osC is frustratingly for tax rather than cost/selling (or so it seems)... I'll let you know my progress, but I think this adds a field called "Cost" to the database to figure this out.
